Jharkhand CID to investigate child pornography case

Ranchi: A sensational case of serving child pornography content by creating several groups through the social media app Telegram has come to light. A complaint has been filed with Jharkhand CID regarding this. According to the information, the children of the state are being used in child pornography on a large scale. It has been revealed that children between 7 and 14 years are exploited to make the videos. After getting information about the case, the police are investigating the application. The CBI also investigated child pornography last year wherein it was revealed that the wire was connected to the Gumla district.

Jharkhand CID will now investigate child pornography after the case came to light through social media platforms.
It is worth mentioning here that the entire matter was disclosed by Baidyanath Kumar, the secretary of the Child Rights Foundation of Ranchi. He later informed the Jharkhand CID DG and CID’s cyber crime station. After receiving the written complaint, the CID will start investigating the entire case. According to reports, a person named Surya from Delhi is said to be involved in providing child pornography. Police have also identified Surya’s mobile numbers.

Giving information about the case, Baidyanath Kumar said that he had received a tip-off that an open group called Child Porn Videos and Scat Service was being run through the social media app Telegram in which anyone could become a member of this group, he said. On the morning of August 28, he received a message from the same open group on Telegram asking if he wanted child sex pornography videos. After which a message came from the group about giving more than 8000 videos for Rs 220. Baidyanath said that money was given by Chandan Kumar of the organisation on the given UPI. After which 6 links were sent one after the other from the group.

Child Right Foundation Secretary Baidyanath Kumar has handed over all 6 links and mobile numbers sent by the group to the CID. Now the CID has come together to investigate the whole matter. Besides this, Baidyanath Kumar said that information has also been received that a person named Surya Bhai is running the Telegram app through mobile numbers 8287527671 and 8377892324. Correspondence has been made with the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights and the National Commission for Women in this matter.
