Ranchi: A total of 32 proposals were approved in the Jharkhand Cabinet meeting on Thursday. In today’s meeting, the government was kind to the three-tier gram panchayats as the proposal to reward Gram Panchayats under the Chief Minister’s Panchayat Award Scheme was approved. This award ranges from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 20 lakh at different levels.
According to the seal on the proposal, a reward of Rs 10 lakh will be given to 24 Gram Panchayats and Rs 15 lakh will be given to five Block Panchayats. At the same time, consent has been given to give an amount of Rs 20 lakh to two district councils. Panchayats will also get health and cleanliness incentive awards. Under this, 24 Panchayats will get Rs 10 lakh, Block Panchayat will get Rs 15 lakh and Zilla Parishad will get Rs 20 lakh. Under the Excellent Gram Sabha Award Scheme, Rs 4 lakh each will be given to 48 Gram Sabhas for their excellent work.
The Council of Ministers has decided to provide compensation to the people affected by the violence in Lohardaga. There was violence in the district on January 23, 2020. The government approved payment of additional compensation of Rs 51 lakh for the loss of movable and immovable property of 91 families.
Along with this, the government has prepared a blueprint for the training of administrative officers. It is called Jharkhand State Training Policy 2023. This proposal was approved in today’s meeting. At the same time, the rules for shifting prisoners to open jails of the state have been simplified. It was approved. Along with this, according to the list of Director General of Police office, approval was given to shift him to open jail.
In today’s Cabinet meeting, the government has decided to set up police stations at several places, including the Vidhan Sabha in Ranchi, Ganga River police station in Sahibganj, Chirachas police station in Bokaro, and Korea police station in Chaibasa, while Chama and Jalga OPs will be opened in Ranchi. In Ranchi, Rahe was upgraded to a police station.
