Ranchi: After being postponed due to the assembly elections, the BJP’s Sadasyata Sangathan Mahaparv (Membership Organization Mega Festival) will formally begin on December 22. The announcement was made during a one-day workshop held on Sunday at the Swarnarekha Banquet Hall in Nagdi, Ranchi, chaired by state president Babulal Marandi.
BJP membership program: A festival, not a campaign
Speaking at the workshop, BJP’s membership in-charge and Andhra Pradesh state president, MP D. Purandeswari, emphasized that the party’s membership program is not just a campaign but a “mega festival.” She explained, “BJP celebrates this organization mega festival like any other festival with its huge family. Today, BJP is the largest political party in the world.”
She further explained that the party launched its online membership program in 2014, and since then, it has enrolled over 9 crore members across the country. Although the program was postponed in four states, including Jharkhand, due to assembly elections, the BJP has already crossed its target of 11 crore members, reaching a total of 11.35 crore members. “After the completion of membership in the four states, this number could go up to 14 crore,” Purandeswari added.
She also highlighted the commitment and passion of BJP workers, stating, “BJP workers accomplish whatever they decide. We have the passion to live and die for the country.” Purandeswari concluded by stressing that the membership festival’s aim is to reach every household and booth.
BJP focused on organizational strength: Babulal Marandi
State President Babulal Marandi addressed the workshop, noting that after the “festival of democracy” (the elections), the party is now focused on the “organization festival.” He said, “The goal of the organization festival is to build an all-encompassing, omnipresent, and all-inclusive BJP. Even though we lagged behind in numbers in the assembly elections, BJP has received the support of 59 lakh people. Elections are just a stepping stone, and we will continue to engage with the public through our policies and programs.”
Marandi emphasized the importance of building a strong organization to confront anti-democracy, anti-national, and anti-development forces in Jharkhand. “A strong and struggling BJP organization is key to the development of Jharkhand,” he stated.
BJP workers turn challenges into opportunities: Dr. Laxmikant Vajpayee
State in-charge Dr. Laxmikant Vajpayee spoke about BJP workers’ ability to turn challenges into opportunities. He said, “This membership festival is an opportunity to make BJP stronger and more resilient. It also serves as a chance to strengthen the connection between workers and society and to nurture new leadership.”
A new political fragrance for BJP: Dr. Ravindra Kumar Rai
Executive President Dr. Ravindra Kumar Rai stressed that the membership festival is an opportunity to spread BJP’s political ideology across Jharkhand. “We must use this festival to spread the new political fragrance of BJP across the state,” he said. He also described the festival as a “celebration of public engagement and power accumulation.”
BJP’s Vichar Yatra focuses on Indian ideology: Nagendra Tripathi
Regional Organization General Secretary Nagendra Tripathi highlighted that BJP’s ideological journey, or “Vichar Yatra,” is rooted in Indian values. He criticized foreign-influenced ideologies like socialism, capitalism, and communism, asserting, “The resolution of a developed India can only be achieved by removing poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition from the country.” Tripathi emphasized the need for BJP to continue engaging with the public, saying, “BJP is not just for elections but is committed to involving every section of society in the progress of the nation.”
He also warned of the ongoing threat posed by anti-national forces. “Anti-national forces are working tirelessly to divide India. Only BJP workers can foil their plans,” he stated.
Workshops across districts and mandals in December
State Organization General Secretary Karmveer Singh provided details about the upcoming workshops for the Membership Mahaparv. He announced that on December 15th and 16th, workshops would be held in all districts, with participation from state leaders. Additionally, workshops will be conducted in all 515 Mandals on December 18th and 19th. The Membership Mahaparv will be formally inaugurated on December 22nd, and special programs will be organized on December 25th, the birth anniversary of Jharkhand’s creator, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, to further promote the membership initiative across the state.
