Jharkhand Academic Council enforces strict Admissions Policy, Non-compliance to lead to non-registration

Ranchi: In a bid to uphold standards of quality education and maintain appropriate infrastructure and teacher-student ratios, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has taken a firm stance against over-enrolment in intermediate colleges across the state. The Secretary of the School Education and Literacy Department, K Ravi Kumar, has issued a directive to all District Education Officers and principals of intermediate colleges outlining the consequences of admitting students beyond the prescribed seats.

According to the directive, if inter colleges in Jharkhand exceed the allocated number of seats for admissions, the JAC will withhold their registration. Recognizing the importance of maintaining the quality of education and ensuring that educational institutions adhere to established norms, this move aims to prevent overcrowding and maintain a conducive learning environment.
