JCA’s 10 day summer camp concludes in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 30: The 10-day summer camp organized at the Jharkhand Cricket Academy in Kadma concluded on Sunday. Seventy budding cricketers participated in the camp and were divided into seven teams out of which, four teams used Deuce balls while three teams engaged in matches with tennis balls.

The chief guest at the concluding ceremony was MLA, Sabita Mahto who encouraged the participants to work hard at their game and emerge as good cricketers. She also said that sportsman spirit should always be adhered to during and after contests.

The final match of the Deuce group was played between JCA Holgar and JCA Rowland teams. The latter team won the match. Ansh claimed three wickets and was adjudged ‘Man of the Match.’

The final match of the Tennis Ball group was contested between Teams A and C. Team A won the match by seven wickets. Abdul Kabir was declared ‘Man of the Match’ for picking up two wickets and scoring 26 vital runs for his team.

There were other awards also for players for their outstanding performances in the tournament and they included Tejas and Manvendra (Best batsmen), Abhinav and Abdul Kabir (Best Bowlers), Nihal, Aarav Soni, Sushant (Best Fielders), Raunak, Swarit (Best Captains), Ayush, Saurya (Best Wicket Keepers), Kapreet, Abhinav (Men of the Series) and Aarav Soni, Raunak and Brian Sarkar (Emerging Cricketers).

The prize distribution ceremony was anchored by KC Bharti. The JCA training camp organizers and administrators included Coach Bhaskar Roy, Debabrata Mukherjee, Debabrata Banerjee, Nikhil, Nitesh Sona, Raj Dwivedi and Sanjay.
