Jamshedpur, June 6: CV Shastry ( 56), managing director of the Jamshedpur Continuous Annealing & Processing Company Pvt Ltd (JCAPCPL), Jamshedpur, died of heart attack on Sunday morning. He was tested positive of Covid-19 a month ago but had recovered from it. However, he received a massive cardiac arrest and died this morning. JCAPCPL is a joint venture of Tata Steel and Nippon Steel Sumitomo Metal Corporation. He was at the helm of the company ever since its establishment. Soon after his death representatives of Tata Workers’ Union and other senior officials went to his house to express sorrow over the sudden demise. He left behind his father, mother, wife and a child.
The company is presently located in Jamshedpur. The line produces automotive cold rolled flat products and addresses the local needs of Indian automotive customers for high-grade automotive cold-rolled flat products in India.
