Jamshedpur, August 31: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jharkhand organized the First Edition of the CII Jharkhand Badminton Tournament 2024, aiming to promote health, fitness, and community engagement. The event, held in Jamshedpur, was designed to encourage physical wellness while fostering a sense of camaraderie among participants.
The tournament was more than just a sporting event; it was a celebration of health, well-being, and community spirit. Ananya Mittal, Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, demonstrating true sportsmanship and encouraging all participants.
Prominent dignitaries at the event included Ranjot Singh, Chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council & Managing Director of Emdet Jamshedpur Pvt Ltd; Diloo Parikh, Chairman of CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council and Director of Vaidehi Motors Pvt Ltd; Tapas Sahu, Past Chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council & Managing Director & CEO of Highco Engineers Pvt Ltd; Neeraj Kumar Sinha, Convenor of CII Jharkhand Safety Panel & Chief of Safety at Tata Steel Limited; Pratik Agarwal, Convenor of CII Jharkhand Sports and Health Task Force and Partner at Narshing Allied JV; and Rushab Mehta, Co-Convenor of CII Jharkhand Sports and Health Task Force and Partner at Promis Industries.
The winners in each category were:
- Men’s Doubles (Winner): Basant and Shubham
- Men’s Doubles (1st Runner Up): Danish and Gurnam
- Men’s Doubles (2nd Runner Up): Amit and Vishal
- Mixed Doubles (Winner): Ariana Parikh and Pratyush Rathore
- Mixed Doubles (Runner Up): Prabhjot Kaur and Gurnam
- Women’s Doubles (Winner): Jasreen Kaur and Jalpa Parikh
- Women’s Doubles (Runner Up): Prabhjot Kaur and Gurnam
