Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy has emphasized the need for Jan Suvidha Samiti representatives to be more alert and proactive in addressing public issues. Speaking at a meeting held at his Bistupur residence/office, Roy urged the representatives to form three-to-four-member committees in each mandal to strengthen the organization and streamline problem-solving efforts.
Roy also stressed the importance of preparing for the upcoming Mango Municipal Corporation elections with full strength. “We must start our preparations immediately and ensure that we fight with complete dedication,” he stated.
The meeting also highlighted cleanliness issues in several areas, including Mango, Kadma and Sonari. Representatives informed Roy that during an inspection in Mango-Kadma, the number of sanitation workers present was less than the required strength. They also pointed out that Sonari’s sanitation system was inadequate.
In response, Roy directed the committee members to gather detailed reports on cleanliness issues across the constituency within two days and submit them at his office. “We must put pressure on the administration to ensure proper sanitation services,” he said. Additionally, he instructed them to interact with sanitation workers and verify whether their Provident Fund (PF) and Employee State Insurance (ESI) contributions were being properly deposited.
Roy further stated that cleanliness in both company and non-company areas of Kadma and Sonari should be maintained efficiently. He stressed that Jusco and JNAC must ensure affordable and accessible public facilities in non-company areas.
The meeting concluded with a decision to reconvene in three days, where collected grievances would be reviewed and a strategic action plan would be formulated. “The Jan Suvidha Samiti will fulfil its purpose only through a mission of contact, problem identification and solution,” Roy affirmed.
Present at the meeting were Mukul Mishra, Neeraj Singh, Dharmendra Prasad, Pappu Singh, Anuj Chaudhary, Santosh Bhagat, Pintu Singh, Vivek Pandey and Sunny Singh.
