Jamshedpur: Fun lovers of steel city spent the Sunday morning by taking a plunge into a host of exciting activities during Jam@streets in Bistupur. +
From badminton court, roll ball, basketball, boxing, bicycle stunt to table tennis, the revelers enjoyed various sports and fun activities. They also had a gala time watching dance performance and talent shows.
Organised along the 800 metre stretch of Bistupur Main road from the Bistupur police station to the traffic signal, Jam@streets kicked off at 5:30 am and continued till 8.30 am. It was attended by Tata Steel sports department officials and many other dignitaries.
�It is a great occasion wherein we all spend our mornings learning and watching different things. We not only spend time with our friends and family members but also get to see a sea of talented people on the streets. Jam@Streets Day is really something to look for every month,� said Satyendra Tiwary, a visitor to the event.
Today�s attractions included roller skating, badminton, basketball, yoga, cycling, aerobics, golf and much more. In association with Jamshedpur Hoteliers� Association several food stalls offering a variety of morning delights including dosas, golgappas, upma, idli, samosa, kachorisabzee, health drinks and fruits, sandwiches, cakes, was offered on the streets.
Vehicular movement was restricted on the Main Road. People heading for the railway station took the Kharkhai Link Road to reach Kharkhai Bridge and then to Voltas roundabout.
