Jamshedpur, March 14: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI) members have requested the South Eastern Railway (SER) General Manager Archana Joshi to open a medicine store at Tatanagar railway station.
Chamber president Vijay Anand Moonka said everyday around 50,000 passengers come to the railway station every day. He said there are food plaza and snacks vendors at the station, but no medicine shops. During travel, people often suffer from vomiting, dysentery and other seasonal ailments and they need medicines to get quick relief. But sadly, there is no medical store at the station premises where passengers may get timely help, said Moonka.
The Chamber members said the medicine shops should function round-the-clock for the convenience of passengers. They said some general medicines and life-saving drugs should be kept ready for emergency needs.
