Jamshedpur: The city witnessed a tragic firing incident at Jawaharnagar Road No. 15 under the Mango police station area, where a young man named Sajjad, known as Tanga, lost his life due to gunshot wounds. The incident also left another Tiger Mobile jawan critically injured. He was undergoing treatment at TMH however, he succumbed to injuries latter this evening.
The assailants, believed to be three in number, specifically targeted Sajjad. As they attempted to flee the scene after the shooting, quick police response led to the surrounding and capture of one suspect. The suspect, found in possession of three pistols and cartridges, is currently in police custody.
It has come to light through the police investigation that Sajjad alias Tanga had a criminal record. He was previously accused of detonating a bomb on a street in Sonari, adding a layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation. The police are diligently probing the entire matter, including the motives behind the attack and any potential connections to prior criminal activities.
The injured youth, undergoing critical treatment, adds to the gravity of the situation. “It all happened so fast. Gunshots echoed, and chaos ensued. Sajjad was targeted, and we’re still in shock over the brutality of it all,” said a local resident.

This incident has left our community shaken. We hope for justice for the victims and trust the authorities to bring those responsible to account.
