Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Workers College organized a unique event ‘Haat Bazar’ on January 21 as part of National Startup Day which is celebrated on January 16. The event, held under the inspiration of the college’s principal, Dr. Satyapriya Mahalik, was aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among students.
The event featured stalls set up by students, showcasing a variety of items including snacks like chaat, golgappa, tea, jalebi, sev papri and momos. Additionally, there were stalls for sandals, kurtis and decorative lace and gota items, highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit of the students.
“The objective of this event is to encourage students to understand the importance of entrepreneurship and inspire them to launch their own start-ups in the future,” said Dr. Amrendra Kumar Singh, a faculty member of the Commerce Department. The event was a significant opportunity for students to showcase their talents and business ideas while learning about the practical aspects of running a business.
The event saw active participation from students and faculty, contributing to the overall success of the initiative. The Commerce Department faculty played a crucial role in organizing the event, guiding students and ensuring its smooth execution.
