Debate, speech contest mark day 1 of Tafazzul Karim sports fest in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, January 21: A ten-day sports festival in memory of educationist Tafazzul Karim began on Tuesday in Mango. The event is being organized by the Aman Welfare Society in collaboration with APJ Kalam High School.

The festival was inaugurated by social worker Rahmat Saeed, alias Hanne Khan, who attended as the chief guest. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Afroz Shakeel, the chairman of the organizing committee, along with Md Tahir Hussain, Jhumpa Poddar, Farhat, Shahid Akhtar, and other notable guests.

On the opening day, debate and speech competitions were held. In the speech competition, Zeenat Parveen secured first place, followed by Farhat Jahan in second and Humaima Naseem in third. In the debate competition, Ekta Singh claimed the top spot, with Sunil Kumar and Ajeez Ahmed finishing second and third, respectively.

The festival also features a variety of indoor and outdoor games, showcasing a wide range of activities for participants. The event is being successfully led by Dr. Afroz Shakeel, ensuring smooth execution and enthusiastic participation.
