Jamshedpur Womens University’s first convocation ceremony on March 1

Jamshedpur, Feb 23: Jamshedpur Women’s University is set to mark a historic moment with its first convocation ceremony scheduled to take place on March 1 at the Sidhgora campus. The esteemed Governor of Jharkhand, His Excellency C.P. Radhakrishnan, will preside over the ceremony, awarding Gold Medals to the topper girl students in various disciplines including Post Graduate Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, Commerce, B.Ed, and B.P.Ed.

The university community is thrilled with this significant event, and various committees have been diligently working under the guidance of the Honorable Vice Chancellor to ensure its success. The convocation is planned to be held at the newly constructed university building in Sidhgora, funded by RUSA with HRDC assistance.

In 2022, Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta assumed the position of the first Vice Chancellor, and under her leadership, the university has been making continuous strides towards progress. Committees formed for the convocation have been actively addressing various aspects to ensure a smooth and well-executed event. The girl students have been advised on a dress code of a white salwar suit and red dupatta for the ceremony.
