Jamshedpur, Feb 8: The six day session on post-Budget discussions entered fourth day at Jamshedpur Women’s University here on Wednesday. The session started with an address by Dr Deepa Sharan, Dean and Head of Department. Dr Sudhir Kumar Sahu was present as university representative. He also spoke on various aspcts of this year’s Budget.
Kamaldeep Kaur was the guest speaker. She addressed the gathering on ‘Impact of General Budget 2023-24 on woman empowerment’. She said the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is the first woman appointed as the Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister of India. She presented the fifth General Budge of the Narendra Modi government.
Kaur said the Budget had made provisions to help self help groups of women. A vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Chhagan Lal Agrawal. Many teachers and students were present during the programme.
