Naman inspires youth to follow path of martyrs: Saryu Roy
Jamshedpur, March 23: The city witnessed an extraordinary display of patriotism as social organization Naman organized the tenth Akhand Tiranga Yatra cum Shaheed Samman Yatra to honour the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru.

Thousands of city dwellers participated in the event, which was described as amazing, supernatural, and historic. The yatra echoed with fervent chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram, and Veer Amar Balidani Amar Rahe, as citizens wholeheartedly supported the initiative.

The yatra received a grand welcome at 119 locations, with overwhelming participation from people of all religions, communities, and political affiliations.

Notably, Muslim Basti’s Gasia Langar Committee extended a heartfelt welcome, raising slogans of Vande Mataram and Hindustan Zindabad. The event exemplified national unity, with men, women, and youth from diverse backgrounds marching together under the Tricolor.

Akhand Tiranga Yatra commenced from Agrico Transport Ground after a ceremonial floral tribute and lighting of lamps before portraits of Bharat Mata, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru.

The yatra was flagged off, covering a 6.3 km route via Bhalubasa, Sakchi Roundabout, Kalimati Road, Howrah Bridge, RD Tata Roundabout, and Golmuri, before returning to the starting point. Throughout the journey, the city was drenched in patriotic fervor, with citizens waving the national flag and singing patriotic songs.

Several eminent personalities attended the yatra, lauding its impact on society. Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy, who flagged off the rally, emphasized the importance of remembering martyrs.

“This Akhand Tiranga Yatra by Naman is a commendable effort to honour our glorious history and instill patriotism in the younger generation. Such programs inspire society to follow the ideals of our freedom fighters,” said Roy.

Similarly, MP Bidyut Mahato praised the initiative, stating: “This yatra is an example of national integrity and harmony. It is awakening a deep sense of patriotism, and I salute Naman for this noble effort.”

Founder of Naman, Amarpreet Singh Kale, highlighted the significance of the yatra, remarking: “The sacrifices of our martyrs laid the foundation of independent India. This yatra is not only a tribute to them but also an effort to connect our youth with their legacy. Holding the Tricolor is a symbol of our duty and loyalty to the nation.”

The yatra was a visual representation of India’s unity, with participation from various social, religious, and professional organizations. Groups such as Bhalla Transport, Mukhi Samaj Bhalubasa, Vijay Bajrang Mandir, Marwari Yuva Manch, Neelkanth Mahadev Seva Sangh, Gosia Langar Committee, Mithila Cultural Council, Kshatriya Samaj, Brahmarshi Samaj, Munda Samaj, Oraon Samaj, Teli Samaj, Rangretta Mahasabha, Sikh Youth Sabha, Tempo Union, Baba Vadbhag Singh Seva Jatha, and multiple Gurudwara Managing Committees came together to support the cause.

The tableaus showcasing patriotic themes left many emotional, bringing tears to the eyes of onlookers. The event witnessed a massive turnout of women and youth, whose enthusiasm added to the vibrancy of the yatra.

As in previous years, the Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad played a crucial role in organizing and managing the event. Recognizing their contributions, Naman honored the entire Parishad family for their dedication and service.

The Akhand Tiranga Yatra was graced by prominent figures, including: Tata Workers Union President Sanjeev Choudhary ‘Tunnu’, INTUC leader Rakeshwar Pandey, senior journalist Bhavanand Jha, Jusco Shramik Union President Raghunath Pandey, former MP Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, former Congress District President Bijay Khan, Congress Leader Ramashray Prasad, AJSU Leader Chandragupta Singh, Jharkhand Central Gurudwara Managing Committee’s Sardar Shailendra Singh, Takht Shri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib Managing Committee’s Sardar Indrajit Singh, Sakchi Gurudwara Managing Committee’s Sardar Nishan Singh, Senior BJP Leader Bimla Desai, BJP Jamshedpur President Sudhanshu Ojha, Seraikela District President Uday Singhdev, Senior Congress Leaders Neelu Machhua, Rajpati Devi, and Ruby Jha
Several social workers, political leaders, and thousands of citizens also joined the historic march.
The Akhand Tiranga Yatra concluded successfully with prasad distribution to all participants. The event stood as a symbol of unity, patriotism, and reverence for the sacrifices of freedom fighters. The people of Jamshedpur came together to honor India’s martyrs, ensuring that their legacy continues to inspire future generations.
