Both teams are locked on 13 points, with Mohun Bagan currently placed second on the table due to a superior goal difference, while Jamshedpur FC follow closely in third. League leaders Mumbai City FC are just one point ahead with 14, making this phase of the tournament extremely competitive. Jamshedpur FC will next face Mumbai City FC on April 9, adding further importance to the upcoming fixture.

The Men of Steel have had a solid start to the season, registering four wins, one draw, and just one defeat. Their campaign has been built on a strong defensive foundation, conceding only four goals so far. They have secured narrow but significant victories, including 1-0 wins over Mohammedan SC, Punjab FC, and Inter Kashi, along with a determined 2-1 away win against East Bengal.
