Jamshedpur: Wife lodges dowry torture case against in-laws in court, alleges hubby of harassment for not clearing civil services exam

Jamshedpur, Dec 4:  Pallavi Mandal, wife of Jayamalya Mandal of Parsudih has lodged a case of dowry torture against husband, mother-in-laws, elder brother-in-law and elder sister-in-law.

Narrating her grief, Pallavi, daughter of Pradyut Kumar Mandal said that that she was married on 18 June 2018 with social customs with Jayamalya Mandal of Parsudih.  

On the first day of marriage, her husband Jayamalya Mandal made a condition to wife Pallavi Mandal put a condition that within two years, she has to appear as an IAS and if she is not able to do it then he would not have any relationship with her. Initially she took it in a very funny tone. She did not know that her husband, who was a gold medalist in MBA, had taken such a big decision of life.

On the second day of the honeymoon, the husband left the house saying that there is a job interview, after which when he returned after several days, his behavior was exactly the same. Pallavi had no idea what to do if she did. During this time, Pallavi continued to bear all the atrocities of her mother-in-law Krishna Mandal, father-in-law Bhavesh Mandal, husband’s elder brother Devmalya Mandal, sister-in-law Jhumpa Mandal.

The in-laws continued with violence and husband remained on his condition of not having any relation till she becomes IAS. The husband is currently working as assistant branch manager in Union Bank Lucknow branch.

Due to the respect of the parents and the fear of the society, Pallavi continued to bear the tyranny of her husband, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and daughter-in-law. However, when her patience ran out she approached court on Saturday.

While registering a case of dowry harassment, she filed a case against her husband, mother-in-law, elder brother in law and sister in law.

The poor father Pradyut Kumar Mandal is making rounds of the court and sometimes to the police station for justice regarding his daughter.
