Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy urges Tata Steel to open blocked road in Kadma

Saryu Roy pledges park renovation, convention center repairs

Jamshedpur: Newly elected MLA of Jamshedpur West, Saryu Roy visited Kadma on Wednesday to address public complaints about road closures reportedly implemented by Tata Steel. Residents had raised concerns over the inconvenience caused by these closures, prompting Roy to personally inspect the situation.
In a statement, Roy mentioned that a large crowd had gathered in Kadma, expressing their difficulties with the blocked roads. He shared that he had earlier discussed the matter with Tata Steel officials, emphasizing the need to open alternative routes to ease public inconvenience.
During his visit, Roy also inspected the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Park. He noted that while a statue of Netaji was previously installed in the park, its current location is unknown. Roy assured the public that a larger statue of Netaji would soon be installed, and the park would continue to be named in his honor.
Roy further highlighted the condition of an unused convention center in Kadma, which has remained unopened for five years. Due to the lack of use, the building has developed issues like water leakage and damaged false ceilings. Roy assured residents that repair work would commence soon to make the facility operational.
When questioned about allegations from former health minister Banna Gupta accusing him of setting a false narrative, Roy responded, “Our culture does not permit attacking the defeated. Banna Gupta is venting his frustration, and he is free to do so. I will refrain from making critical comments at this time.”
