Jamshedpur: Uday shot dead over drug trade rivalry  

Jamshedpur, September 8: Uday Choudhary was killed over rivalry in brown sugar trade.

Uday Choudhary was shot at around 10.45 pm on Sunday, 4 September near Golmuri Namda Basti Kali Mandir. Uday Choudhary, a resident of Golmuri DS flat, died on the fourth day on Wednesday during treatment at TMH.

SSP Prabhat Kumar has disclosed the case of shooting dead on Thursday. He told that Uday was murdered due to a dispute arising in the business of brown sugar. In this case, the police have arrested three people including a minor. Two accused are still absconding in the case, for whose arrest the police are conducting raids.

 During the raid, the police team arrested Vinit Singh, a resident of Namda Basti Line No. 4, Amrik Singh alias Vicky, a resident of CableTown Tinplate, besides a minor. The minor has been sent to the remand home. The SSP said that two weapons were used to carry out the incident. One of the weapons has been recovered by the police.

 The police feel that after the arrest of the absconding accused, another weapon may also be recovered.
