Jamshedpur Crime: 5 arrested, several stolen mobiles recovered

Jamshedpur, September 8: Sidgora police arrested five gang members in connection with mobile snatching and sent them to judicial custody on Thursday. One of them includes a minor.

Renu Sharma, a resident of Sidgora number 10 Basti, was robbed of the bag on Thursday, August 17 last month.

 The bag contained a mobile phone and Rs 1000 in cash. In the course of investigation of this case, the police got success and five were arrested. In this case Musabani Sildadera resident Mohammed Shaif, Arjan Nishad, a resident of Birsanagar zone number 6, Rahul Mukhi, a resident of Birsanagar zone number 3 and Raj Karmakar a resident of Birsanagar zone number one, have been arrested.

SSP Prabhat Kumar gave this information on Thursday. The SSP said that during the investigation, the police came to know that the work of selling the snatched mobile was done in the Raj mobile shop of Asanbani. After this, the police raided the shop and recovered the stolen mobile. Along with this, the shopkeeper who bought the mobile was also arrested.

The SSP says that with the arrest of five people, mobile theft from Sidgora, Sitaramdera, Sakchi, Mango and other police stations can be exposed. He has appealed to the people that they can identify their mobile by going to Sidgora police station. This will make it easier for the police to take further action. The entire team was involved in the raiding team along with Sidgora police station in-charge Ranjit Kumar.
