Jamshedpur, May 15: An electric pole fell on a pickup van in Ward No. 5 of Kapali Municipal Council area, adjacent to Jamshedpur. Although the pick-up van and its driver survived the accident, traffic on the road has been badly affected due to this.
According to the information received, an electric pole suddenly fell on a pickup van in the Kapali Municipal Council area, due to which the traffic through the road has been badly affected. Although the driver of the pickup van narrowly escaped in this accident and the vehicle has also suffered minor damage. Locals told that the pickup vanwas coming from Road No. 20 towards Mazar Gali.
The driver was turning his vehicle, when the road was narrow and the electric wire was down, the wire got stuck in the vehicle and the electric pole fell on top of the vehicle. The front part of the vehicle was slightly damaged in this.
Local resident Faheem said that due to the fall of the electric pole in the summer, there has been a power failure and people are facing a lot of trouble. Incidentally, bridge is being constructed by the Kapali Municipal Council on Old Purulia Road No. 15, due to which Old Purulia Road No. 20 has become the main road for all vehicles.
