Jamshedpur, June 20: A delegation of members of Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce accompanied by the traders of Sakchi Market met state Health Minister Banna Gupta and raised the issue of hike in shop rent. The traders handed the Minister a memorandum demanding revocation of the government’s decision to enhance the rent paid by various shops in the city markets.
Gupta informed the traders that he had already discussed the rent issue with the state government authorities and assured to see to it that the traders do not face any problem. He also spoke to several government officials and issued directions to them in this regard.
The traders said they had trust in the government and the district administration. They said they would soon take necessary legal measures to get relief against the government order.
