Jamshedpur, Nov 28: Steel City is set for a major sustainability push as local organisations and volunteers come together to host an E-Waste Collection Drive from December 2-5 in observance of National Pollution Control Day.

The initiative encourages residents to identify unusable or damaged electronic items at home, offices or factories and either opt for doorstep pickup or drop them at designated points. The campaign aims to reduce pollution, promote responsible recycling and ensure safe disposal of hazardous e-waste.

Organisers have requested citizens to add their name and e-waste location to the shared list so coordinators can arrange timely collection.

Appealing for wider participation, organisers said the drive is an opportunity for the community to unite for a cleaner, greener city:

“Spread the word—let’s responsibly dispose of as much e-waste as possible.”

The campaign is expected to draw strong public response and reinforce Jamshedpur’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
