Jamshedpur teen ends life after failing in JEE Advanced

Jamshedpur, Sep 12: A 19 year-old boy, identified as Aryan Kumar, resident of Ashika Green Heights, Gamharia, reportedly committed suicide by hanging self to death on Sunday.

Sources said Aryan was upset after failing to crack JEE Advanced this year. When he failed to find his name in the list of successful candidates, he became depressed and ultimately took the extreme step, source said.

Aryan’s father Harendra Singh is a Section Engineer in the Railways. His family is shocked after his tragic death. They said Aryan hoped to make it to the IITs this year, but his aspiration could not be fulfilled. They tried motivating the youth but failed to cure his depression.

Woman commits suicide in Golmuri

Jamshedpur, Sep 12: A middle-aged woman, identified as L Meena, 55, reportedly committed suicide by hanging self to death in Nanak Nagar locality of Golmuri police station area on Sunday. Her son, who was away at his in-laws’ place, returned home and found his mother hanging from the ceiling of her room. He informed his neighbours and police about the incident. A case of unnatural death has been registered in this connection.
