Jamshedpur, Sep 12: Members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of East Singhbhum to take prompt measures to contain the spurt in cyber crimes in the city.

SCCI president Vijay Anand Moonka and honorary general secretary Manav Kedia said cyber criminals were duping people and robbing them of their hard-earned money by employing newer ideas every day. Many people get SMS or WhatsApp messages from such frauds and are duped into downloading various unverified apps and logging onto dubious websites, they said.

The Chamber functionaries appealed to the people, especially traders, industrialists and homemakers to be careful against such frauds and asked them to abstain from entertaining any unverified or mysterious messages or calls.
