Jamshedpur, Aug 18: International Literary Organization Subarnarekha Nandini organized literary convention and held prize distribution ceremony for winners of the Megh Utsav at Sabuj Kalyan Sangh, Telco, on Wednesday.
The program began with lighting of the lamp jointly by the chief guest Swami Mahabhavanand of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Society, Bistupur guests of honour.

Swami Mahabhavanand said that today more importance is being given to the English language but it is also very important to preserve the Bengali language. He appealed to teach Bangla language to the kids and younger generation.

Meena Mukherjee, general secretary of Subarnarekha Nandini and organizer of the event said, Megh Utsav was organized on August 7. Today all the winners were awarded. The program was conducted by Shravani Mitra. Vaidyanath Tripathi and Dr. Manoj Kumar Pathak spoke on importance of language and crisis prevention as part of the literary convention.

Prizes were distributed by the guests to the winners. On the occasion special guest Ashish Choudhary, General Secretary, Rabindra Bhawan, Nisar Ameen along with Baski Goswami, Nikhil Kumar Dutt and Jharna Kar from Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan, Ajay Kumar Ojha, Prasenjit Tiwari from Hindi Sahitya Tulsi Bhavan Bistupur, Mithilesh Kumar Ghosh, Secretary of Sabuj Kalyan Sang, Amit Kumar Bose, Finance Secretary of Sabuj Kalyan Sangh and others were present.
