Jamshedpur SSP Transfers 17 Station House Officers

Jamshedpur: In a major administrative shake-up, Jamshedpur SSP Piyush Pandey overhauled the district’s police leadership on Thursday evening by transferring 17 Station House Officers (SHOs). The move aims to bolster law and order and improve policing across the district.

Immediate Implementation

The order, issued from police headquarters, takes effect immediately. Authorities believe this reshuffle will streamline operations at police stations and yield positive results in crime control.

Key Appointments in Major Stations

The SSP reassigned several officers to high-profile and sensitive stations:

  • Sakchi to Sitaramdera: Sakchi SHO Anand Kumar Mishra takes charge of Sitaramdera.

  • Sitaramdera to Burmamines: Outgoing Sitaramdera SHO Niranjan Kumar moves to Burmamines.

  • Burmamines to Jadugora: Former Burmamines SHO Dilip Kumar Yadav becomes the new Circle Inspector of Jadugora.

Changes in Sakchi and Telco

Given its sensitivity, the Sakchi police station received an experienced hand. Former Bagbera SHO Gopal Krishna Yadav now leads Sakchi. Meanwhile, the department transferred Telco SHO Prashant Kumar to the Sakchi CCR, replacing him with Jadugora Circle Inspector Suresh Prasad.

New Security and Rural Roles

  • Sidgora & Court Security: Faiz Ahmed (from Sakchi CCR) takes over as Sidgora SHO, while former Sidgora lead Virendra Kumar becomes the Jamshedpur Court Security In-charge. Rajendra Munda moves from Court Security to lead the Ghatshila station.

  • Rural Reshuffle: Ghatshila SHO Vansh Narayan Singh transitions to Musabani Circle Inspector. Umesh Kumar Thakur moves from Musabani to lead Bagbera station, and Ajay Kumar Thakur takes over as Patamda Circle Inspector.

Two Officers Sent to Police Lines

As part of the disciplinary and administrative corrective measures, the SSP removed Bodam SHO Manoranjan Kumar and Jadugora SHO Rajesh Kumar Mandal, sending them both to the Golmuri Police Lines. Neeraj Kumar and Ishwar Dayal Munda will replace them at Bodam and Jadugora, respectively.

Strategy Behind the Move

Officials view this massive reshuffle as a clear strategy by SSP Piyush Pandey to inject fresh energy into the department. By deploying experienced officers to sensitive zones, the SSP intends to tighten the net around criminals and improve the coordination between the public and the police.
