Jamshedpur SSP inspects Musabani DSP office, calls for police-public coordination

Musabani, Jan 24: East Singhbhum Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Dr M Tamil Vanan inspected the Musabani DSP office on Monday.

On his arrival, the officers and jawans presented him a guard of honour. While checking the record registers of different years he came across certain errors which Dr Tamil Vanan directed Musabani DSP Chandrashekhar Azad to rectify.  SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan held discussions with police officials and jawans and gave a patient hearing to the problems they expressed. His talks proved a morale booster to the personnel in uniform.

In the course of inspection, SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan inspected the files of pending cases in six police stations and held a meeting with the OCs of these stations in the jurisdiction of Musabani DSP Chandrashekhar Azad. He took information on the pending cases. The SSP spoke of posting a police officer in the DSP’s office.

He noted the dilapidated condition of the DSP’s office and said that a move was on to get the building repaired.

SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan enquired from the OCs about the manpower needs in each of the police station under the Musabani DSP’s jurisdiction. During the meeting, the SSP observed, “It should be our constant endeavor to live up to the expectations of the people. The police effort is to create a rapport with the people and gain their confidence that would result in optimum croime control through public cooperation.”

 While talking to the press, SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan said that although there had been no extremist incident in this area for a couple of years, the police will concentrate on preventing reemergence of such activities in any manner. The police were ever alert against such incidents.

Dr Vanan talked about providing more vehicles for patrolling in the Musabani police station area. Speaking of the police role in COVID containment, SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan averred, “The police department is working as per the government guidelines. The department has been ordered to exercise utmost caution and vigilance and the personnel are dedicatedly dispensing their responsibilities. At the same time, the police are constantly making people aware of COVID prevention measures.”

Officers present during the SSP’s inspection visit included DSP Chandrashekhar Azad, Jadugoda Inspector Inderdev Ram, Musabani Inspector KK Panda, Musabani Police Station In-charge Raja Dilawar, Dumaria Police Station In-Charge Vinod Tudu, Jadugoda Police Station In-charge Sunil Kushwaha , Gudanda police station in-charge Pranan, Potka police station in-charge Ravindra Munda, Kowali police station in-charge Amit Kumar Das, SI Ranjan Paswan along with DSP office readers Ravi Kumar, Munna Singh, Ajit Singh including Inspector and all the officers and employees of DSP’s office.
