Jamshedpur, Jan 24: Jamshedpur on Monday continued to record COVID-19 recoveries outnumbering the new infections with 204 people contracting the contagion and pushing the overall caseload to 66,220.
COVID-related fatalities remained high with 3 people succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 1123 till date, the health bulletin said.
According to East Singhbhum Covid-19 medical bulletin, as many as 757 people have walked out of healthcare facilities aggregating 62443 and leaving 2654 active infections.
The number of samples tested today was at 6554 pushing the cumulative number of specimens examined so far to 2193004 till date.
Jamshedpur’s positivity rate – the number of people testing positive for every 100 tests – was 3.11 percent with the latest addition in cases. 6554 samples were tested on Monday.
Mango area of Steel City reported a maximum 34 cases on Monday.
The positivity rate came down to 3.02 per cent in Jamshedpur.
The cumulative coronavirus case count stands at 66220 and the death count is now 1123, according to the latest health bulletin.
6554 COVID-19 tests, including 1470 RT-PCR, 4876 RAT and 208 TrueNat were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 823818 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 94.59% while the mortality rate is 1.70%.
So far in Jamshedpur 2200239 samples have been collected out of which 2193004 have been tested and 2126784 have turned out to be negative.
