Jamshedpur, August 19: The Sonari police issued a notice against Faraz Khan, a resident of Mango Azadnagar and accused in the Ajay Sao alias Tinku murder case, who has been absconding.Tinku was a resident of Khuntadih in Sonari. The notice was pasted on the main door of Khan’s residence and in the Azadnagar market, informing the public that the court had given him three days to surrender.
The police team, led by Sub-Inspector Hariodh Karmali, the investigator in the case, took this action and announced that if Faraz Khan failed to surrender within 30 days, a warrant for attachment and confiscation of his property would be issued by the court.
Ajay Sao alias Tinku was shot dead on the morning of the incident after stopping at Jojo betel shop near Sonari C Road to buy milk like other days. The attack was carried out by members of Manish Singh’s gang from Jugsalai, who were waiting for him.
Following the incident, a case was registered against nine individuals, including Manish Singh, Deepak Singh, Ranjit Jha, Rahul alias Vicky Chhabra, Md Nadeem, Faraz Khan, Sankey Goyal, Guddu Goswami, and Raj Singh alias Dana, based on a statement by the deceased’s wife. The police have already submitted a charge-sheet against 17 people involved in the case. Two of the accused, Md Nadeem and Jiyar Jai alias Jiyar, had been arrested and sent to jail on August 4.
The court of First Class Judicial Magistrate Sushila Soreng issued the notice for Faraz Khan, who fled his home fearing arrest. The notice has been pasted, giving Khan a final opportunity to surrender.
