Jamshedpur: In a bid to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Vocal for Local” and empower women entrepreneurs, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing a two-day Diwali Trade Fair on October 21 and 22 at Chamber Bhavan, Bistupur.
Preparations for the fair are in full swing. The poster for Diwali Trade Fair 2024 was unveiled on Wednesday at the Chamber Bhavan. Speaking at the event, President Vijay Anand Moonka said, “The Chamber’s primary goal is to promote business and industry. We regularly organize events to support this and the Diwali Trade Fair is one such initiative to promote local artisans and their work.”
General Secretary Manav Kedia said, “The landscape of trade is changing, and many women in the city are running small businesses from home. These women have the passion and drive but they lack a strong platform to sell their products. The Diwali Trade Fair 2024 aims to provide that platform to local women entrepreneurs and artisans during this festive season.”
Anil Modi, Vice President of Trade and Commerce, stated, “The Chamber is continuously working on initiatives that prioritize local businesses. The Diwali Trade Fair is an extension of these efforts. Visitors will not only find clay lamps made by local potters but also a variety of products made by women entrepreneurs, including homemade clothes, pickles, papads, artificial jewelry and more.”
Chamber Secretary for Trade and Commerce Bharat Makani, Secretary of Finance and Taxation Anshul Ringsia, and Executive Committee member Suman Nagelia, Vijay Anand Moonka, General Secretary Manav Kedia, Vice President of Trade and Commerce Anil Modi and Vice President of Industry Puneet Kanwatia were present at the event.(
