Jamshedpur: Second phase of Moharda water project operational soon

Jamshedpur, January 4: The implementation of Moharda Water Supply Second Phase  located in Birsanagar, Jamshedpur will start soon at a cost of Rs 14 crore 65 lakh.

Settling pond for Moharda water supply scheme will be constructed soon. A new water tank will soon be constructed near Bhuvaneshwari temple. Keeping in view the needs of the population, a new plant of Moharda Water Supply Scheme will be constructed.

A meeting regarding the implementation of Moharda Water Supply Scheme Phase 2 was organized at Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) office in the presence of JNAC, Tata Steel UISL, JUIDCO and personal secretary of  Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai.

In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held regarding starting the work of Moharda Water Supply Phase 2. Discussion was held regarding smooth operation of Moharda Water Supply Scheme and ensuring quality water supply.

Saryu Rai in a statement said that with the construction of the settling pond, it will be possible to provide timely and quality drinking water to the residents of the area. For this, a consultant was appointed and an estimate has been prepared at a cost of Rs 14 crore 65 lakh, in which work of a new pipeline of up to 7 kilometers, a new rising pipe and a new water tank near Bhuvaneshwari temple will be done.

With the operation of Phase 2, new drinking water connections will be easily available to about 2 thousand houses.

Saryu Rai said that separate rising pipes should be laid for different tanks, so that water can be filled in all the tanks simultaneously and water supply can be made possible in all the areas simultaneously.
