Jamshedpur: SCCI delegation takes up train delay issue with SER GM

Jamshedpur, Feb 26: A delegation of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) met South Eastern Railway General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra during his Jamshedpur visit and highlighted the regular delays in train running through Tatanagar. SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka and Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia emphasized the inconvenience faced by passengers due to the delays.

The issues outlined to the SER GM included trains on the Tatanagar-Raipur route had been running late since several days; passengers were encountering difficulties due to the delayed running of up and down trains at Tatanagar station; disarrayed management of platforms during peak hours especially during the boarding and de-boarding in trains like the Steel Express;

Vice President Anil Modi highlighted the cascading effect of these delays on other trains such as the South Bihar Express, Howrah Duronto Express, and Howrah Mail, among others;

Secretary Suresh Sharma Lipu underscored the adverse impact of delayed train running on students, patients, professionals, women, and elderly passengers.

The SCCI delegation also included Vice President Anil Modi, Secretary Suresh Sharma Lipu, Treasurer Anil Ringasia, and Umesh Khirwal who urged immediate attention to rectify the delays along this route. Additionally, a letter regarding this issue was sent to Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnaw.
