Jamshedpur: Review Meeting on pending court cases

Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal conducted a review meeting at the Collectorate office to assess the status of pending cases in the Supreme Court, High Court, and other courts related to criminal cases, POCSO, SC-ST matters, civil disputes, and contempt cases. The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Kishore Kaushal, Government Pleader, Public Prosecutor, Assistant Public Prosecutor, Law Branch in-charge, and other concerned officials.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate took stock of the pending cases involving various departments and district officers in the High Court, Jharkhand Ranchi. He emphasized the need for all concerned officers to submit case-related facts to the Deputy Commissioner’s office promptly. The review covered a total of 159 cases under the district, with a strong focus on ensuring their timely resolution.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to expedite the execution of pending cases and ensure proper coordination between departments. He also instructed that appeals be filed in cases where lower court verdicts have been delivered and further legal proceedings are required. The meeting underscored the importance of systematic case management and proactive legal action to enhance judicial efficiency.
