Restaurants across the city have put up projector screens and extra LCD screens to create a stadium-like aura where guests can savor every moment of the match on the big screen. While many establishments are providing with the regular offer of giant screens, a few have also come up with innovative menus.
Raja Singh, owner of Wave International resort on NH-33 says, “We are offering special screenings by the poolside while the afternoon matches will be screened at The Bar.
From the quarter-final, we will have a special menu.” Also, the tournament is likely to generate extra interest among spectators this year as Dhoni will be captaining Pune for the first time with new squad after Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals have been suspended for two years. “I would like Bangalore to win as my favorite player Virat Kohli is leading the side. With likes of Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers in the RCB side it should be great experience watching the greats in one squad,” said Anand Gupta, a jeweler in Bistupur.
