Jamshedpur residents protest substandard drain construction

Jamshedpur, May 14: The drain built a month ago in Mango Shankosai was broken, people accused the Municipal Corporation of corruption.

Sankosai Road No. 1 Sanjivani Path of Mango, the drain constructed with the MLA’s fund has started cracking within a month. The local people created a ruckus alleging that substandard material was used in the construction of the drain.

Along with calling the local BJP leader Vikas Singh, he informed about the whole matter. Vikas Singh told that a few days ago, a drain was constructed by the Mango Municipal Corporation from the MLA’s fund.

The local people protested against the shoddy construction. But the contractor continued the construction ignoring the people’s words. At the same time, a complaint was made to the junior engineer of the corporation, Nandu Prasad. But he also did not take any action in this matter.

The construction work will be completely stopped. Because of which people stopped protesting. The result of this was that due to the poor construction, the drain started breaking and a part got filled and fell down.

BJP leader Vikas Singh said that Mango Municipal Corporation has become a den of corruption. The drain was supposed to be constructed for the convenience of the people, but here the matter has turned completely upside down. The slab of the drain has been damaged at many places. The local people say that the drain has been constructed by giving very small amount of bars.

Vikas Singh assured the local people that the information about the whole matter would be given to the Deputy Commissioner as well as the Secretary of the Urban Development Department.
