Jamshedpur, Dec. 7: 25 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the East Singhbhum district, while 1 death was reported on Monday, December 7. The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 16950.
17 people recovered of the virus on Monday taking the total recovery to 16375 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 201.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 149462 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.
So far in Jamshedpur 412259 samples have been collected out of which 399867 have been tested and 397867 have turned out to be negative.
On the other hand, Coronavirus tally in the state on Monday reached to 1,10,457 as 179 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 19 districts of Jharkhand. During the day 2 deaths were reported including one each from Dhanbad and East Singhbhum district as a result of which the overall death count has reached to 988. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.91 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 1,759 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,07,710.
The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 988. On Monday a maximum number of 79 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 25 each in East Singhbhum, 13 in Bokaro, 10 in Dhanbad and 8 in Deoghar (top five districts). A total of number of 214 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 72 from Ranchi, 17 from East Singhbhum, 15 each from Dhanbad and Gumla district, 12 from Ramgarh and 9 from Khunti district. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 percent mark to currently stand at 97.51 percent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 43,74,646 samples have been collected out of which 43,55,970 have been tested and 42,45,513 have turned out to be negative.
