Jamshedpur:�Jamshedpur is seeing a slight dip in the number of new COVID-19 cases with fewer than 100 being recorded for the first time in 32 days.
Coronavirus positive cases in Jamshedpur has crossed 14,000 mark with 67 new cases reported on Friday, October 2. ��
The positive cases have climbed to 14, 062 in district with 67 new cases reported on Friday.
Positive tally has climbed to 14,062 while the death toll has reached 324 with 3 death on Friday. 235 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 11734 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 2004.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 67 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Thursday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 75952 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district in 2.3 % while recovery rate is 84%.
With a total of 736 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Friday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached to 85,400.
During the day 8 deaths were reported including 3 each from Jamshedpur and Ranchi and one each from Palamu and Dhanbad districts after which the overall death count has increased to 729 in the state.
The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.85 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 11,243 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 73428 including 967 recoveries on Friday.
On Thursday a maximum number of 306 cases were found in Ranchi, followed by 67 in Jamshedpur, 23 in West Singhbhum and 39 in Saraikela.
A total of number of 967 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 311 from Ranchi, 235 from East Singhbhum, 54 from Saraikela and 44 from West Singhbhum districts.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once again gone above 80 percent mark to currently stand at 85.98 percent in Jharkhand.
