Jamshedpur Ramnavami: Police and admin officials asked for coordination, extra vigil

Jamshedpur, April 9: East Singhbhum district administration reviewed preparation for maintenance of law and order during Ramnavami immersion procession on Saturday. 
Chairing the meeting East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and SSP M Tamilvanan all super zonal magistrates, zonal magistrates, magistrates and superintendent of police were directed on their roles during the immersion procession and asked to be sensitive and alert for conduct of the puja and procession peacefully.

 

According to the guidelines received from the state government, 100 devotees are allowed in the procession of Ram Navami festival and where all the processions will gather, the maximum number of devotees will not exceed 1000. It was directed in the meeting that the concerned officials including the police officers under the area should keep a special vigil on the social media so that no objectionable message of any kind could be spread. Along with this, the officers of Fire Brigade, Electricity Department, Drinking Water Department and Nagar Panchayat will be fully alert during the festival days.

Deputy Commissioner said that special precautions need to be taken at all sensitive places and information should be shared continuously with the control room and senior officials about every activity at ground level. All deputation officers and police forces should have complete information about their deputation place, route chart so that any untoward incident does not happen and in case of emergency, all should be in a position to respond immediately.  The police should ensure that the route of the procession does not deviate.  Along with recording drone cameras, CCTV and videography, they will also use their mobiles to keep an eye on each and every activity when required. Additional forces have been deputed at sensitive places. After the procession reaches its destination, the deputation will leave the place after the orders of the senior officers.

Congratulating the successful operation of the procession on the occasion of Hindu New Year by Senior Superintendent of Police, the deputy commissioner  instructed all the deputed zonal magistrates, magistrates, police officers to discharge their duties sensitively and to ensure their presence at the duty place at the time. The Senior Superintendent of Police said that the joint order issued regarding the place of deputation and other guidelines should be read closely and implemented, the police station-wise videography team has been tagged. The deputed magistrate/police officer will ensure timely immersion keeping in mind the time limit at the front and back of the procession.
