Jamshedpur police will safeguard interest of biz community: SSP

Jamshedpur, Aug 3: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), East Singhbhum, Prabhat Kumar, here on Wednesday assured city traders of protection against criminals and high-handedness of traffic cops. He said the traders should do their business fearlessly and asked them to contact him in case they face any law and order issue.

Speaking to a delegation of members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), which met him at his office to raise various issues related to law and order and traffic policing, the SSP said, “Traffic police will not harass or bother any trader or businessman. City police will safeguard the honour and interests of the business community.”

Leading the delegation, SCCI president Vijay Anand Moonka said every day traffic jam is witnessed near the roundabout close to Tata Steel UISL office in the morning and afternoon. He said traffic police should be deployed at the roundabout to man the traffic. The SSP said the demand for deploying traffic cops would be fulfilled. The delegation members included Manav Kedia, Nitesh Dhut and Mukesh Mittal.
