Jamshedpur: One Purno Kaibartho, 39, a pay loader operator of Tarapore and Company, was crushed to death in a mishap at WRP loading point on Saturday, sources said.
Sources said the accident occurred around 10.30 pm when Purno’s supervisor found him lying on the ground with his head crushed. The reversing buzzer of the pay loader was blowing and it stopped after touching the boundary wall, sources said.
Purno was pronounced dead around 11 pm, sources said.
The relatives and well-wishers of the deceased staged a demonstration at Sidhgora police station today demanding job and compensation for the next of kin of the deceased.
