Jamshedpur: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Ranchi, has revamped the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) in Jamshedpur, shifting it to a newly renovated space within the main Post Office premises to offer seamless and faster services to local applicants.
In a major relief for passport seekers in the Steel City and neighbouring regions, the authority added a third service counter to the facility, expanding the previous two-counter setup. The upgrade also features a newly constructed, comfortable waiting area for citizens.
Direct Impact: Daily Appointments Boosted by 50%
The operationalization of the third counter immediately scales up the facility’s processing power. The RPO has radically increased the centre’s daily capacity to cut down waiting times for local applicants:
