Jamshedpur nurse robbed of Rs 68,000

Jamshedpur, June 28: A nurse of MGM Hospital Girls’ Hostel, Poonam Banra, lost Rs 68,000 to cyber frauds in Sitaramdera on 26th June last.

The victim said she had gone to HDFC ATM kiosk in Chhayanagar around 2 pm to withdraw money. When she failed to get the cash, she took help from a youth standing outside. The youth took the ATM card from the victim and returned it her after some time while pretending to help her. Later, Poonam received messages showing cash withdrawals from her bank account. When she checked her card, she found out that it was not her card.  She lodged a complaint with the Sitaramdera police station in this connection. Police officials are perusing CCTV camera footage to identify the culprit, sources said.
