Jamshedpur, Dec 12: The newly-elected office-bearers of the East Singhbhum district Congress committee including the district president Anand Bihari Dubey joined their office on Monday. They were accorded a warm welcome by the party members at a function organized at Tilak Pustakalaya, Bistupur. The chief guest of the occasion was the state Health Minister Banna Gupta, who was accompanied by the former state Congress president Pradip Kumar Balmuchu and many other senior party leaders. A large number of party members were present during the programme.

In his address, Dubey said all members of the party were united. He said party leader Rahul Gandhi was leading the Bharat Jodo Yatra with a vision that should be taken to each and every household by the party workers. He said the party was preparing for the Lok Sabha elections while avoiding questions about party’s choices for the Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency.
The newly-appointed district working committee president Dharmendra Sonkar met Banna Gupta at his residence and sought his blessings. He reached Tilak Pustakalaya with his supporters who raised slogans in his support. He asked all party members to strengthen the party to ensure its victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Also present on the occasion, state Congress general secretary Rakesh Sahu said the party would emerge stronger under the leadership of the newly-elected members. He said the Congress and its allies would win the 2024 elections with elan.
