Jamshedpur: Murder accused relatives meet SSP, seek impartial probe

Jamshedpur, March 16: Relatives of those accused in murder of  Shabbir met the SSP and demanded an impartial inquiry into the arrest and claimed that the accused were innocent.

Shabbir was shot dead on January 13 in Azadnagar. While taking action in this case, the police arrested Jadi Saddam Hussain, Ataliq Ahmed, Sarfaraz Alam, Saif Ali and Mohammed Taj.

On Thursday, the relatives of the accused met the East Singhbhum SSP regarding this matter. Describing everyone as innocent, the relatives have demanded a proper inquiry from the SSP.  They have also handed over a demand letter to the SSP. The relatives of the accused Saddam told that Saddam was present at his house at the time of the incident. This is proved by the CCTV footage installed at the house. He has also handed over the CCTV footage to the police, but the police have not yet done a proper investigation in this matter.

Relatives claimed that the main accused in the case is still absconding, due to which even the murder is not being disclosed. Everyone has been implicated in the case.

On January 13, in Zakirnagar Road No. 10, criminals fired bullets at Shabbir. Shabbir was seriously injured in this incident. He was taken to TMH for treatment from where he was referred to Kolkata for better treatment. He died during treatment in Kolkata.
