Jamshedpur: Mukhiyas directed to implement schemes, expedite work

Jamshedpur, Jan 4: Following the directive of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vijaya Jadhav, District Panchayati Raj Officer of East Singhbhum convened a meeting with all the Mukhiyas on Wednesday and directed them to expedite pending development work in their respective areas. The Mukhiyas were directed to carry out physical verification of the rejected applications for pension and submit the same to block development officer (BDO) concerned. They were further asked to spread awareness among villagers to attend the camp for differently-abled persons going to be organized soon and implementation of various schemes with the funds received under 15^th Finance Commission. The Mukhiyas have been directed to hold meeting with all government departments at least once every month and discharge their daily work pertaining to Gram Panchayats from the Panchayat Secretariat, sources said.
