Jamshedpur, March 29: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto met Union Road and Highways Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday and discussed various matters related to NH.
The MP wanted to know about the construction work of the elevated corridor along NH-33. On this, Union minister after talking to his secretary said that the entire process has been completed and its work will be started as soon as possible. He also said that there is no departmental hurdle in this regard. MP Shri Mahto reminded him that he had talked about the construction of two National Highways. Out of which NH 33 was to be constructed from Pardih Kali Mandir to Patamda – Katin – Bandwan – Lake Mili – NH up to Bankura via Khatra and NH from Bandwan to Jhargram. On this the minister told them that he would get this project completed by including it under Bharatmala project.
Apart from this, he also reminded about the construction of NH from Chaibasa to Mumbai through NH 6 of Orissa via Hata-Musabani-Dumaria-Asti- Gudabandha-Koma. The union minister asked the MP to hand over a memorandum once again to the Prime Minister in this regard. Apart from this, MP Mahto also drew his attention to the accidents occurring at Kalidinga Chowk in Jharia Mode of Baharagora and accidents due to excessive traffic at Phuldungri in Ghatshila.The minister assured them that a proper solution would be found after conducting survey again for these two places.
