Jamshedpur DC appeal to make people aware of CM Health Assitance Scheme

Jamshedpur, March 29:East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav during a meeting of Chief Minister’s Health Assistance Scheme has appealed to the elected representatives to make rural populace aware of the scheme through campaign at panchayat and village level. 


The meeting, on basis medical recommendation, discussed the the amount to be given under the scheme to the beneficiaries of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.


A total of 286 applications received from all the blocks of the district under the said scheme were discussed sequentially and once again after a thorough review, the decision was taken by the committee for approval. Under this scheme, a maximum amount of Rs 10,000 is granted. This scheme is applicable to both adult and minor category.


Clear instructions were given by the District Deputy Commissioner to the District Welfare Officer that according to the guidelines, the eligible beneficiaries, who have qualified, should be given the advantage of the said scheme. 

Beneficiaries suffering from any kind of disease or surgery (except pregnancy and childbirth), infected with Covid-19 and suffering from serious disease like cancer will get the benefit of the scheme. , Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, householders, family ration card holders, Antyodaya ration card holders, green card holders, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Backward Class applicants, online issued photocopy of caste certificate, disease related certificate, Aadhar card and Photocopy of bank passbook has to be given.Rs  5000 will be payable to the beneficiary in case of any kind of illness or surgical illness, if the duration of treatment in the hospital is less than seven days, Rs 3000 and more than seven days.


Also, in the event of being infected with Covid-19, if the victim is treated at home, then an amount of Rs 5000 will be payable and if the victim is treated in a hospital, then an amount of Rs 10000 will be payable. Apart from this, the beneficiary will get Rs 25000 if he is suffering from cancer. If the duration of treatment in any kind of disease or surgical disease/hospital is less than seven days, Rs 1500 and more than seven days, the beneficiary will get Rs 2500. In the event of being infected with Covid19, if the victim was treated at home, thenRs  2500 and Rs 5000 for treatment at hospital and Rs 15000 thousand for cancer patient.  

The meeting had MLAs from Jamshedpur, Ghatshila, Potka and Jugsalai attending.
