Jamshedpur MLA Saryu discusses water issue with JNAC, Tata Steel UISL officials

Jamshedpur, Feb 20: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy convened a meeting with the officials of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) and Tata Steel UISL to discuss the issue of water supply to the various bastis of the city. He said the company should provide water supply to the residents of Jojobera, Babudih, Inder Singh Basti, Mandal Basti and Neelkanth Apartment.

Roy sought information about the ongoing water supply work from the officials. He said water should be supplied to left out localities through tankers. He said it was a pity that still many people were deprived of water. He said the residents of the upper parts of Bhuvneshwari Mandir area in Birsanagar were deprived of water.

Roy discussed about Moharda water supply project. He said the quality of drinking water should be improved. He said he had written to the Secretary of Water Resources Department and requested him to ensure release of sufficient water in the Swarnarekha river from Chandil Dam till Monsoon so that clean drinking water may be supplied under Moharda Water Supply facility.
